Forwarding to Skype

Step 1: Configuring your XOIP account

You may forward your XOIP number to your Skype account.  When someone calls your XOIP number, the Skype client on your computer will ring.  You can pick up and answer the call.  If you are not online, your voicemail will pick up.

• On the website, log in to your Account, and select XOIP Number Settings.
• Select your number, and ensure it is set to “voice and fax”
• Select the “to Skype” option.
• Enter your Skype account  details.

Give your XOIP number a call.  If your Skype rings, it's working.  Otherwise continue with step 2.

Step 2: Checking your Skype client

You need to ensure that your Skype client allows calls from the XOIP Skype system.  The easiest way to do this is to set your Skype client to receive calls from all numbers.  

• Open your Skype client,
  
• Find your privacy settings.
• Select “Allow calls from anyone.”

If you do not wish to allow calls from anyone, you then need to add the XOIP Skype users

• Open your Skype client.
• Select the + button to add a Skype user
• Search for user “XOIP Skype”
• The system will find 30 users.  You need to repeat this process to add each of the 30 “XOIP Skype” users to your address book.
